As part of an invited talk, I presented my research on conflict management in engineering education at the University at Buffalo, Department of Engineering Education (DEE) speaker series for the engineering education graduate student seminar exchange with Virginia Tech. It was also my first time seeing the beautiful Niagara Falls :) (Nov. 2024)

Interdisciplinary Capstone Design - Working Professionals Panel

More than two years later, I dug my Airbus shirt out of my closet to speak on a student panel today at VT for Interdisciplinary engineering capstone design students. Sharing my experiences working in industry (4+ years) - there's going to be a lot of real talk about expectations and reality for the engineering workplace 😅 will forever cherish my time & experience at Airbus and all the lessons I learned along the way that made me who I am today. (Fall 2023)

at the ASEE 2023 Conference in Baltimore with our Virginia Tech Engineering Education research group. We had a packed and energetic room with amazing discussion and are looking forward to continuing our research.

Invited Talk - Guest Lecture in aircraft design

I was a guest speaker at the University of South Alabama (my alma mater) for Dr. Montalvo's Aircraft Design class (ME/AE 468: Principles of Aircraft Design)! I shared my experience working as a retrofit engineer at Airbus, particularly, a project I worked on in Airworthiness & Certification related to wing icing protection, control surfaces, and aircraft performance. We also discussed the importance of culture/context in problem solving & my work as a PhD student in engineering education at Virginia Tech. (March 2022)
